A Super Imaginative Tale

Have you read Redwall? I devoured this 300+ page tale after my friend introduced it to me. I love ♡ the characters and the plot. The author Brain Jacques is so imaginative.

Redwall is about a mouse whose name is Matthias. He is an orphan that lives in Redwall Abbey.  His quest is to get the famous sword of Martin the Warrior and kill Cluny the Scourge. In this story, some of Matthias's friends die, which is kind of sad 😢, but there are lots of happy parts 😊, too.

Redwall is a great tale. The book is divided into three sections called "books": The Wall, The Quest, and The Warrior.

This book is full of adventure and is action packed. I love the way you can see the characters in your mind.
Brain Jacques is such an imaginative author.

Brian Jacques wrote Redwall  for children at a school for the blind in Liverpool, so he focused strongly on descriptions. That must be why you can see the characters in your mind. After that, an English teacher read Redwall, and showed it to a publisher without telling Brian Jacques. This resulted in a contract for the first five books in the Redwall series and a dedication to the English teacher in the front of several Redwall books. I think it is funny that someone showed Brian Jacques' work to a publisher without permission,  He must have been upset at first.  (I would be really mad if I were Brian Jacques 😠.)  After that, though, I bet he was happy. 😀

SPOILER ALERT

In this book, I like how Cluny is crushed by a the St Joseph's bell.
I don't like how Methuselah and Abbot Mortimer die in the book.

I really enjoyed Redwall and think you would to

Check Out What We Did at D.I.!

Hi, guys!

Some of you might know what D.I. is.  For those that don't, D.I. is Destination Imagination.  It is a competitive program where you work for months on a challenge and then compete others who chose the same challenge.

This was my first year competing.  My team chose the tech challenge.  Here we are before we competed:

On the day of competition, we got to the contest, ate, watched a few other teams, and, then. got into our instant challenge. (Sorry, we can't tell you about that yet.  We are sworn to secrecy until Memorial Day.) Then, we went to do our team challenge.

This is us during the challenge:

In our challenge, we had to make a stage that used a technical method to move someone from one spot to another.  We also had to have two tech effects, one in our opening act and one in our headlining act.  We also had two choice elements.  Ours were a waterfall/projection screen and our stage design.

For our stage, we combined everyone's ideas into one, so we had a football field, a wrestling ring, and two jungle islands with a waterfall all at a circus.

We were surprised at the end of the day, because we came in third place!  (My mom did not even think we would place.  She was happy for us just to get to the competition, but, I wasn't.  I wanted us to place.)

Bye!
Luke

P.S.  I am sorry it has been so long between post again.  Life is super busy, and I have been doing other things.  I have a Youtube channel now where I post Mincraft, Kodu, and Civ videos.   I also just had other things to do.  I want to post more here now again.  Please tell me what you'd like to hear about.

My Favorite Video Games

My favorite video games are Civ5 and Minecraft.

I like Civ5 because you build a civilization, you get to build wonders, you get to go to war, and you own empires in the world.

Minecraft I like because you can create almost anything in it.  There are two options.  You can play "creative" and "survival", but those are just the basic two.  There is also "adventure" mode.

I own Civ5 and have played it alone, with my dad, and with a friend.  I own Minecraft and have played it with friends.  I have also read about it.  There are awesome novels and how-to books about it.  I also like watching a guy called Stampy Cat.  He plays Minecraft and makes youtube videos about it.  These videos are just for entertainment, but I learn from them, too.

BYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYE!

What are your favorite video games?

Luke the Soldier

Now for a story...

Once upon a time, there was a soldier.  He was the general.  His name was Luke.

General Luke began a battle.

Boom! Bang!  Boom!  sounded the cannons.

Boom.  Boom.  Bang, went General Luke's gun.

Bam!  Boom!  Boom!  Bang!  Again, the cannons roared.

General Luke's troops won the battle.

The next battle holds another story, but for now, Luke is strong.

The end.

The photos for this story were taken at The Old Colony Historical Society Museum. I was there for a scavenger hunt field trip.  We got there before a few other families, so we had some free time to look around and try on soldier's suits.

After the field trip, I put on the soldier suit again for more photos.

The museum had a few things upstairs to touch, too:  a canon and a school bell that I rang.  Putting on soldier suits, wearing a canteen and holding a gun is fun.  Pretending to fire the cannon was, too.

I like history.  Do you?

The Quest of Sir Luke

Dear Readers,

I am so sorry, but we have been so busy that I haven't gotten enough time to get to the blog.  Sometimes I want to write on it, but then me and my mom forget or Mom says, "no".

Now, for a story from my imagination...

Sir Luke Battles the Evil Dragon Wizard
(and saves the Lion Queen)

Once upon at a time, there was a knight.  His name was Sir Luke.  He rode a black horse.  But, one day, the Evil Dragon Knights captured the Lion Queen.

Sir Luke went off to save the queen.  He journeyed far until he arrived with his troops at the Evil Dragon Wizard's castle.  The Evil Dragon Wizard stood in the mist.

Sir Luke and his troops got so close to the castle that they could see the Lion Queen in the fog.

Sir Luke jumped off his horse...

...and began to climb the stairs.

Sir Luke reached the castle's second floor and began to fight the Evil Knights and Wizard.  He knocked the Dragon Knights off the castle and they ran for cover, so they did not get hit by the Wizard's blasts.  (The Wizard was fighting Sir Luke and kept missing.)

Sir Luke knocked the Wizard down and broke his staff.  He rescued the Lion Queen and took over the castle and kingdom.  He ruled it with the Lion Queen.

Can you spy something new about the castle?

Look back at the second picture.  Now look at the one above.  Do you see a difference?  If you do, please tell me.  (Next time, I will reveal the answer.)

Do you like Legos?  Do you like the Middle Ages?
What word does siege come from?
(I know.  But, do you.)

Enjoy a Pots and Pans Band

This is my sister and me doing a pots and pan concert for our mom and dad.

How to Do It

First, ask for permission.

Then, take one pan and one bowl.

Then, take four spoons.

If you like, you can prop up the bowl.  Make sure the bowl is not made out of anything except for metal or it will break.

Bang on both of them.

You can use a guitar, too.

Have you ever done one before?

My Batman and Robin Story

Batman and Robin have gotten a call from commissioner! Gordon. But they can't get in the secret cave!

"Oh no!!" cried Robin. "We can't get in!"

"Yes, we can if we use the Bat Bomb," said Batman.

However, when the Bat Bomb exploded all the fire turned into stone. But they got in and found a monster in there.

They threw a Bat Bomb at it and it turned into orange stone. Batman and Robin ran past the monster and found to their surprise...Penguin!!

They fought Penguin, but they lost and were put into two giant tea bags.

But who came to the rescue? Snow Leopard Man and his trusty sidekick Robin Jay. And Batgirl followed. They fought vigorously, knocking Penguin into his own tea.

The End.

Who is your favorite Batman bad guy?

A Letter to My Readers

Dear Readers,

I am sorry I couldn't attend to my blog for over three months.  My mom could not remember to do it with me and I couldn't do it on my own.

I plan to write at least once a week.  Soon, I am going to make a new blog post.

Bye, Dear Readers!
Luke

PS  This is a picture of me using my imagination:

This is a superhero hideout.  Me, my brother and my sister built it.  I am peeking out of it.  "Look out for the bad guy!"

(PPS from Mom:  The above are Luke's direct words.  I would like to add that HE may plan to write once a week, but I will likely only be able to help him post once a month.  We shall see how things go.)

Snow Leopard Man vs The Troopers

Welcome to the U.S.A.! That's where Snow Leopard Man works.
Snow Leopard Man is battling The Big Trooper and The Small Trooper of the Strongest Monster. He has his helper Robin Jay.

"Look out!" said Snow Leopard Man and Robin Jay. "You were just almost grabbed by Small Trooper's long claws."

He has wings and two signalers. People cannot hear them. He also has a very strong beak.

"Look out!" said Snow Leopard Man and Robin Jay again. "You were almost crushed by the big feet of The Big Trooper."

The Big Trooper has a hadrosaur's head and a big body. His legs are like elephants. His tail is like a stegosaurus'. And he has brown blood and a red heart. So does The Small Trooper.

"Oh, No! You almost got hit again by his big foot!"

Bye!

What's your favorite dinosaur?

Snow Leopard Man vs Big Killer

Here is an illustration and story I wrote. Hope you enjoy!

Welcome to Gotham City. I am Snow Leopard Man. Right now, I've gone into "Monster Valley". It is very, very dangerous.

Once, Robin Jay almost got eaten by Big Killer.

Oops!

Look out!

It's Big Killer's troops!

One of his troops is the commander. The commander is a monster, too--a giant monster! No building is as big as him. People can get crushed by his big feet. Luckily, he made a building taller than himself.

Now, I have to destroy it. But how will I?

I know! I can use the Snow Leopard Mobile!

The Snow Leopard Mobile can turn into anything electronical (sic) that people can drive. Now, it's an army truck.

BYE!

What's your favorite superhero?

The Batmobile

What do you think this is?

It is a Batmobile.

Remember the "imagination" part of this blog's title?  Here it is!

For some reason, my dad turned on the TV.  (We hardly ever watch TV, except for during football season.)  He noticed Batman was on.  We watched it, and I got interested in it.

In this picture, we are playing it.

The villain is called the Riddler.  The Riddler is chasing Robin, Batman and Batgirl for some reason.  The person in feeties is Robin.  The person in the back is Batgirl.  And, I'm Batman.  My dad is the Riddler.

With imagination and paper, we made our masks and our belts.  With imagination and chairs, we made the Batmobile.

With my brother's Wahoo, we made the Riddler's truck.

Just so you know what a Wahoo is, it is a bouncy dog.  As you can see in the picture, the boy is hugging his Wahoo.  He can also sit on it and bounce.  When Daddy was the Riddler, he bounced on it.  (That is not mt brother or anyone in my family in the picture.  It is a boy from Amazon.)

Do you like Batman, too?

P.S. Do you like the highlights?  I highlighted everyone's names in the color of their shirts.  I could not use Batman gray, so I used blue as a substitute.

Bye-bye.  Please comment.

DISCLOSURE:  Mommy used an Amazon Affiliate link in this post because I wanted everyone to know what Wahoo is.   If you click through the link to order anything (even something besides Wahoo), Mommy might get a small percentage of your order.  It will not cost you any extra.  Mommy will share the pennies with me.

Big Dinner

This is my Mom and Dad's anniversary dinner.  I wanted to go out to eat.  We couldn't, because Mommy had to work.  I used my imagination.  We had Daddy pick up seaweed salad, a chicken dish, miso soup, fried rice, white rice and a vegetable dish.  We set the anniversary table.  Then, when Daddy got home, we began eating.

We had to eat fast, at least Mommy did.  Daddy, Jack, Nina and I ate slowly.  I pretended we were all at a restaurant.  I think I got the most soup.

Bye for now.

How do you celebrate your mom and dad's anniversary?

I Can Be an Archeologist

See the first picture.  It's a picture of me and Dad doing a pyramid thing that I got from a gift card from my Nana and Papa for my birthday last December.  We are trying to crack a code.  We figured out that it said entryway.  The code was written in hieroglyphics.  A booklet showed us what the hieroglyphics meant.

Before Daddy helped me, I tried cracking the code on a different side.  It said, "not here".

After Daddy helped me crack the code, Nina and I chiseled to open the secret entry.  We found it.  Then Mommy helped us pop the lock out and we opened the pyramid's lid.

Then, I dug for the treasures.  I was careful.  I found the mummy, two canopic jars, a mask and a sarcophagus.  Nina found two canopic jars.  Then, I cleaned them off.

The next day, I decorated the treasures with details.

If you want to buy this kit, look to the next picture.  It has a picture of the kit from online.

I know how to find this.  Go to Barnes and Noble website and order it.  Or, you can go to Amazon to order the National Geographic Archaeology Kit: Egyptian Pyramid.

I really like Egypt, so I really liked this, because I am doing what an archeologist does.  You can, too!

Will you please tell me what your favorite games or toys or books or kits about Egypt are?
Good bye for now.  See you next time.

DISCLOSURE:  Mommy used an Amazon Affiliate link in this post, "because I asked to have a picture of the kit as you can see up where the little picture is."  If you click through the link to order anything, Mommy might get a small percentage of your order.  It will not cost you any extra.  Mommy will share the pennies with me. "Yes!"

The Opening Post

Hello.  I'm Luke.  Daddy told me maybe I could have my own blog.  Mommy said it's okay, so Mommy is letting me start one today.  (My mom is typing what I say.)

See the kid wearing green and white in the picture.  That's me.

Here, me, my brother, my sister and my dad are playing electric football.  I love football.

I also like dinosaurs, dogs, drawing, movie watching, the Steelers and other stuff.

This blog will have lots of imagination and football and some arts and crafts you could do that I do.

Come again!
